For several days on social networks or even yesterday evening on a banner in the passageways of the Pierre Mauroy stadium in Lille, the CUP has been sending a unique message “Our patience has limits”. A message that took on a little more depth this Monday evening with a scathing press release against the club’s management but also against the players.
The main group of Paris-Saint-Germain supporters, deprived of a stadium since December 7, let it be known that what is currently happening at the club does not please them. The CUP points the finger at a PSG which “pile the stars like a spoiled child” and who is “obsessed with jersey sales”. The sequel is just as acid from a collective that points the finger “incomprehensible sports management” and castigates a club that “despise national trophies” (reference to the inglorious elimination against Nice).
Sports management and certain players in the sights
A week before the confrontation against Real Madrid and a few days before the team’s reunion with its fans, this missive comes to electrify the atmosphere around the club of the capital. It is also rare enough to be underlined, they also point the finger at the sports management of the club and the attitudes of certain players.
Without mentioning them, boys like Kurzawa or Draxler get tackled : “little used players for whom football seems to be a real priority as the soup is good”. Ditto for Mauro Icardi, the Argentinian striker is never mentioned but the CUP evokes “different privileges and other episodes worthy of a telenovela”.
For his part, the sporting director Leonardo is also being scolded (still without being cited). In the press release, it is indeed mentioned the management of young people “incomprehensible” but also “the constant changes of coaches”.
It remains to be seen how this letter will be received by the leaders of the club. In any case, on social networks, many fans applaud this position taken by the ultras of PSG. It remains to be seen how the reunion at the Parc des Princes will go on Friday February 11 for the reception in the championship of Stade Rennais (9 p.m.).
