After six months of war in the Gaza Strip, the population is hungry but also in dire need of healthcare. Like homes and schools, hospitals are in ruins, there are no more medicines.

A mother no longer knows where to turn to help her son who was seriously injured during a bombing in Gaza. His legs are paralyzed, he will never walk again. He is sobbing, she is in despair. “There are no more medicines in this hospital, there are no more urine bags that my son needs, not even a poor painkiller. My son has been wearing the same diaper for three days”she testifies.

Only one hospital works

The health system in Gaza is in agony. Only one hospital still operates in the north of the Gaza Strip. It is saturated with sick or injured patients. “Film our impossible life, there is no bed available, no medicine, nothing”, a man despairs. According to doctors, every day, fifteen children are admitted because they suffer from malnutrition, 23 have died in the north of the enclave according to the Hamas Ministry of Health. In a neighborhood north of Gaza City, almost all pharmacies were destroyed. The largest hospital center in the enclave is nothing more than a field of ruins.
