the coach of “The Voice” moved and very affected by the death of an emblematic French singer

Soon two years he left this world. Indeed, on April 16, 2020, Christophe plunged his fans, friends, and family into deep sadness after being swept away by the Covid-19. Among his closest friends, Nolwenn Leroy. Despite their age difference, the two singers spent a lot of time together and liked each other enormously. It is also for this reason that the fifth coach wanted to pay tribute to the interpreter of “Mots Bleus” in her latest album as she confided to Michel Drucker this Sunday, February 27 in “Vivement Dimanche”.

It was in November 2021 that his album “La Cavale” was released. But the journalist received his friend only now. Fans may know it, but the title of this project is both a tribute to Christophe, but also to Brest, the city that Nolwenn Leroy appreciates so much. Michel Drucker also recalls on this subject: “You have to remember that this dear Christophe, so talented, ended his life with you”. The presenter does not fail to recall how his death had affected the ex-candidate of Star Academy, who has always been close to Christophe. “We were all stunned by this terrible news”she remembered very sadly recalling her memories with him: “We spent time together, a few dinners. We also worked together on a song in tribute to Balavoine”.

Obviously touched by this disappearance, Nolwenn Leroy therefore wanted to pay tribute, in her own way, to a friend who left far too soon: “I also spoke to him a lot about my Brittany which he knew less, and the fact of seeing him leave there, in this region which we were talking about, knowing him alone at that time and the context which was terrible, I feel had to pay homage to him”. There is no doubt that where he is now, Christophe must be touched by the tribute that the artist from Brittany wanted to pay him.
