Since the start of the health crisis, companies have been put “on a drip”, with state aid. But when this aid will dry up and it will be necessary to repay, many will not survive, deplores the CNTPE 33. The union calls for letting the entrepreneurs manage the situation.
For two years and the start of the health crisis linked to the coronavirus, companies have also been suffering. The executive has put in place a series of aid devices to help them get through this crisis. The latest, Jean Castex’s announcement on Tuesday: the financing of employee contributions for companies with fewer than 250 employees who lost at least 30% of their turnover in December and January. This is not necessarily good news for Didier Béal, vice-president of the CNTPE 33, the national confederation of very small businesses in Gironde. “Very small businesses are on a permanent drip, he explains. In the present moment, it helps. But that only postpones the problem. _We expect, unfortunately, a tsunami of corporate bankruptcies_“, when this aid ceases.
So how can we help these small businesses that are suffering, in the hotel and catering industry, tourism or even events? “We have to let go of this pandemic as some countries are starting to do, argues Didier Béal. Relaunch the economy and try to return to a normal rhythm of activity”. He concludes : “Let entrepreneurs do as before and I think we will not get there better together”.
