Fifa has also announced the holding from March 14 to 30, 2022 of a qualifying tournament for the 2022 World Cup for the Oceania zone, which will bring together eight teams in Qatar and will award a ticket for a play-off match in June 2022.
This play-off on a match between the Oceanian representative and a team that finished 4th in qualifying in the CONCACAF zone, as well as that planned between the team ranked 5th in the playoffs in South America and a nation from the Asia zone, should also take place. to be held in Qatar on June 13 and 14.
