is no longer a Girondins de Bordeaux player! The club has reached a financial agreement with its midfielder to terminate his contract which ran until June 2024. In recent months, he had been excluded from the professional team before being loaned at the beginning of September to OFI Crete.
Loan that only lasted a few weeks before being terminated last week. Mehdi Zerkane would in fact hardly have trained with his new club, each time claiming an excuse and would have left Crete overnight, simply leaving the OFI car at the airport. Since then, he had not reappeared at the Château du Haillan.
Arrived in 2019 from Monaco, Mehdi Zerkane will have worn the jersey of the Girondins of Bordeaux
for a goal and an assist. At 23, the Algerian international is now free to commit where he wishes. For its part, the club should save between 320,000 and 340,000 euros with this termination of contract.
