The closure of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel in the direction of Montreal, initially scheduled for the night of Thursday to Friday to carry out maintenance work, has been postponed until next week.
This postponement is due to the bad weather conditions expected from Thursday afternoon when a mix of precipitation will affect Montreal with snow and ice.
Highway 25 towards Montreal will therefore be completely closed at night from Monday to Tuesday and from Tuesday to Wednesday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The closures will be between exit 90 of the A-25 and the entrance from rue Notre-Dame Est, said the Ministry of Transport.
“The entrances leading to this section will be closed 30 minutes before the complete closure of the highway,” added the MTQ.
