The blue line of the Montreal metro will be partially closed on Sunday due to work.
It will be impossible to take the blue line at Acadie, Outremont, Édouard-Montpetit, Université-de-Montréal, Côte-des-Neiges and Snowdon stations in both directions.
To compensate, a shuttle on line 809 will provide service, stopping at each station located between Snowdon and Jean-Talon. It will change to 15 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and to 10 minutes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It should be noted that the rest of the métro network remains accessible, as do orange line services at Snowdon and Jean-Talon stations.
The closure is not related to work on the extension of the blue line, which will include six new stations, but to work at the Édouard-Montpetit station to make it universally accessible. Two elevators must be installed there and the station entrance must be extended to house a new staircase.
Of the 68 metro stations of the Société de transport de Montréal, 26 are universally accessible, and four others should be by 2030.
