The closed portion of the A13 will not reopen on May 1 as first announced by the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture, France Bleu Paris reported Friday April 26, confirming information from Le Parisien.

According to information from France Bleu Paris, the meeting, which was to be held this Friday between elected officials, the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture and the Ile-de-France Roads Department, has been postponed until the beginning of next week. At that time, a schedule “more realistic” will be fixed. The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture indicates, Friday evening in a press release, that the meeting in question will take place “Monday April 29” For “take a complete stock of the situation and specify the reopening timetable”.

“Analyses are still in progress”

According to France Bleu Paris, the competent authorities are not “not able to give a stabilized timetable at this time”. From a source close to the case, “analyses are still in progress” And “they do not allow you to move forward.”

According to the press release from the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture, “backfilling work was carried out last weekend as a first safety measure […] However, very weak ground movements were observed. It therefore appears necessary to continue the investigations initiated and to carry out additional analyses.. The prefecture adds: “If this prolonged closure represents a major constraint for users, with significant extensions of travel times, safety remains the priority.”

Furthermore, the prefecture recalls that “Users are invited to avoid, postpone and/or anticipate trips in the sector by consulting the Sytadin service and to favor public transport as much as possible. For long-distance journeys, it is always advisable to avoid the impacted sector and to take alternative routes as far upstream as possible (A15 or A86).

The A13 motorway has been closed in both directions between Paris and Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) since last Thursday (April 18), due to a large crack that appeared in the roadway. Invited on Wednesday April 24 on franceinfo, the Minister of Transport Patrice Vergriete explained that “these are works that took place right next to the highway which impacted the retaining wall”leading to this crack, which is therefore linked to “a total unexpected” and not “maintaining the highway”. For the minister, the objective “central” was to reopen the highway on May 1.
