Hailstorms in the Spanish Basque Country

Torrential rains have swept through northern Spain, turning the streets of Zaragoza into rivers and washing away everything in their path, in front of helpless residents. “It’s my car (…) the water pulled me back and made me cross the track”, says a man. In some neighborhoods, more than 100 L of water per m2 fell in less than an hour. In front of a supermarket, water gushes from all sides. The Spanish Basque Country has been hit by hailstorms.
