In Borodyanka (Ukraine), missiles and bombs hit the town blindly on Wednesday, April 6. A building was not an enclosure military but yet the nine floors were pulverized by an airstrike. In the ruins, there are a few fragments of life, bits of torn fabric and victims still trapped. “There are people under the rubble everywhere, hundreds there and here too”describes a resident. On the outskirts of the city, hundreds of crates of armaments were abandoned in the fields.

“On the main highway leading to kyiv, this convoy of Russian logistical reinforcements, it was stopped dead here by the Ukrainian army”details the journalist Arnaud Comte, present on the spot. Shells and artillery fire sometimes directly targeted civilians. At least 200 victims have been identified by the mayor of the town. “As soon as they saw an open window, they opened fire”he says. The inhabitants are now buried in recesses of land or behind buildings. A difficult task for the soldiers who say they also had to bury children among the victims.
