The town of Arbois is looking to buy a pelican sculpture, its emblem. A statue nearly three meters high by the Arbois artist Dominique Chanteloube, exhibited behind the church since the Biou 2020 festival. The town hall has opened an online kitty and appeals to the generosity of the inhabitants to raise 5,000 euros .
The sculpture costs 12,000 euros, for the moment 1,552 euros have been collected. If you make a donation you will be entitled to a meeting with the artist and a visit to his studio.

See you soon 82 years old, Dominique chanteloube continues to be inspired by Arbois, his birthplace and its history, like the legend of the emblem of Arbois: a pelican which would have belonged to Maximilian of Austria in the 15th century, and who would have died in the Jura city.
