The stops have been carefully chosen in order to highlight a landscape, as well as a historical aspect. For example, the shed of East Angus is located at the confluence of the Saint-François and Eaton rivers, and highlights the presence of the first Aboriginals.

From La Patrie, we have a view of the village below, but also a unique panorama of Mont Mégantic and its observatory. As for the cultural aspect, it is devoted to the poetess Éva Senécal, originally from La Patrie.

Located on the banks of the Saint-François River, the Ascot Corner stopover is an oasis of tranquility. The single-pitched roof is also a feature of older sheds.

The circuit has existed since 2020, but it is getting better every year. Each stop has a map to see the other nearby stops.

In East Angus, the rest area is located in the Parc des Deux Rivières. Beyond the views of the rivers (as the name of the park suggests!), one can take the opportunity to criss-cross the nearby hiking trails.

You can also, on the way, admire the many birdhouses on the way, painted by students from a school in East Angus.

The kilometers of road that you swallow between stops allow you to crisscross this part of the Eastern Townships, and to contemplate its landscapes.

The careful design of the small hemlock cabins (with metallic roof) was carried out by the firm Pittoresco.

The shed d’Ascot Corner is the latest to join the circuit last fall. In addition to those we visited, the others are located in Weedon, Cookshire-Eaton, Hampden, Lingwick and Saint-Isidore-de-Clifton. New stops are also planned. To be continued !
