Hlib Stryzhko, a Ukrainian sailor, was one of the victims of torture by the Russian army. His pelvis and jaw are broken. He also lost sight in one of his eyes. “I couldn’t sit up and my jaw was broken. So they gave me food. But some nurses were laughing at me leaving the food in front of me, saying, ‘Feed yourself poor Ukrainian'”, says Hlib Stryzhko. Determined, this marine explains that he would like to return to the battlefield. According to the Geneva Convention, torture is a war crime.
