Frédéric Leturque, mayor (Les Centristes) of Arras, reacts, Friday October 13, after the death of a French teacher. The latter was the victim of a knife attack.

“Related to unfortunately what happened, we cannot imagine that events could continue to be scheduled as is the case in a city like ours. It would be inappropriate. So out of respect for the families , for what happened, and also to give us the time to work properly on what will happen tomorrow, what will happen this weekend, what will happen next next week”, reacts Frédéric Leturque, mayor (The Centrists) of Arras (Pas-de-Calais).

“The children will continue to be in school”

The mayor specifies that “children will continue to be educated“and the teachers “to be in front of the students”. “The director of the establishment must have the time to work on this issue. I think we need time to be at his side, and alongside the educational community”concludes Frédéric Leturque.
