An unusual (and world famous) setting. The avenue des Champs-Elysées, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, will be transformed into a classroom for a giant dictation. The event will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 4, organizers announced on Wednesday, May 10. “At the initiative of the Champs-Elysées Committee, the avenue will be the scene of a unique moment in its history: organizing the largest dictation in the world”, affirmed the association which promotes and animates the famous artery of the capital. The teams of Guinness will be invited to record this eventual record, according to 20 minutes.

A reconstruction of a classroom, with desks, platform and blackboard (which will actually be a giant screen), will be installed between the George V metro station and the Place de l’Etoile. That is 6,600 square meters to accommodate participants.

The latter can register on the website of the Paris City Hall. The event is free and open to anyone over the age of 10 (minors must be accompanied by an adult). In detail, there will bethree thematic dictations each bringing together 1,700 participants”specifies the registration form. Three draws will take place on May 18, 25 and 31, to designate the lucky ones who will be able to test their grammar and spelling skills on the prestigious Parisian avenue.
