The Champollion exhibition extended until October 1 at the Grenoble study and heritage library

The exhibition “Hieroglyphs – the Champollion method” is a great success. Since last May, on the occasion of the bicentenary of the deciphering of hieroglyphs by Jean-François Champollion, the Grenoble study and heritage library has been offering an exhibition devoted to this subject. It was originally supposed to end on August 20, but it is extended until October 1.

This is an opportunity to discover the career of Jean-François Champollion – the first man to have deciphered hieroglyphs – and his brother, Jacques-Joseph. Both were librarians of the City of Grenoble in the early 1810s.
