The 2024 Champions Trophy, between PSG and Monaco, has been postponed to a later date, Radio France’s sports management learned from sources close to the matter. The date chosen by the clubs, August 28, clashes with the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games.

Discussions were also blocked around the time of the match. A time considered in the afternoon, the risk of high temperatures in the Principality made the two clubs back down. This match was initially scheduled to be held on August 8 in Beijing, but due to the lack of final authorizations, the encounter was postponed.

This Champions Trophy match is supposed to pit the French champion against the winner of the Coupe de France, but since PSG won both trophies, it is the 2nd in Ligue 1, AS Monaco, who are taking part in this match. Now all that remains is to find a date, last year the match between PSG and Toulouse was played on January 3 at the Parc des Princes.
