“The central role” of Iran “in this whole war is becoming obvious,” says the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel

“Whatever Iran’s alleged targets, the entire country and all the people have been targeted”according to Shimon Mercer Wood, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel, guest of franceinfo after Iran’s missile launches on Israeli territory. “(The army’s) systems identified around 180 missiles fired towards Israeli territory from Iran”the Israeli army said in a statement.

According to Shimon Mercer Wood, “The more time passes, the more clear and obvious the central role of this actor in this entire war becomes. And the more time passes, the more we see that it is less possible to avoid a direct confrontation with this actor.”

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel warns: “What happened tonight is not something the State of Israel can accept.”
