The Ministry of the Interior wants to relocate its agents outside Île-de-France. After a call for applications from the municipalities, the city of Le Mans will, for example, host the Central Office for the Fight against Illegal Labor, attached to the General Directorate of the National Gendarmerie. The arrival of 50 agents is planned for 2025, after a work phase.
In a press release, the prefecture of Sarthe explains that it is “to contribute to strengthening the closeness of the State with the French, to offer an opportunity for the cities which will welcome these new jobs and to respond to the aspiration of many State agents to work in another living environment.” The city was chosen in particular taking into account the real estate offer, the living environment and “the support that this establishment could provide to support local development.”
In the region, the city of Angers, for example, will welcome before the end of the year 190 agents from the national administrative security investigation service of the national police, 17 posts from the sub-directorate of recruitment and training at Saumur by the end of 2023 or 15 positions in the automated control department of the road safety delegation in Tours in 2024.
