The historic heart of the town of Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine) is under real estate pressure. Small signs do not resist.
Every Saturday, market day, the town center of Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine) is reborn. However, two kilometers from Paris, the town is seeing its food shops gradually close. “It lacks a few local shops, so it’s a bit of a shame”, regrets a resident. In the city, several businesses are indeed going out of business, due to lack of attendance.
The municipality must also densify its city center and many constructions are underway, sometimes to the detriment of existing businesses. This is the case of the third place of Mily, where a new building must see the light of day. “There are many places that are demolished to be able to build buildings with shops on the ground floor, but what the city wants is for it to be beautiful, with a Bio C Bon or a Picard”deplores Mily Marie, shopkeeper. The municipality is trying to find solutions. Thus, at the start of the school year, a brand new bookstore opened in the city.
