Like every year, RTL sets up its studios in the heart of the Salon de l’Agriculture, at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center in Paris. This Saturday, February 25, 2023 for the first day of the event, Jade and Eric Dussart, the hosts of the show We redo the TV, invited a specialist in good food in the person of Philippe Etchebest. Thanks to Top Chef, Top Chef Goal or Kitchen nightmare on M6, the banter and outspokenness of this cook quickly earned him the favor of the public. Today, he is the most famous MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) in France! But for the 56-year-old chef and those close to him, this celebrity is not the easiest to manage. I understand the people who approach you and want to take pictures, it’s OK… But you see, today, I would have liked to go around the Salon, but I think it’s going to be complicated”first of all regrets Philippe Etchebest.

And when the host then asks him if he manages “to live normally”the leader responds: “Yes, I manage to have a normal life. But there are things I no longer do.” Eric Dussart then tries to find out more. The cook then develops his daily life: “It only engages me. It’s me who wants to hide a little and isolate myself a little bit. It is kind of a shame. I got into the habit of looking at the ground so as not to meet people’s eyes, because afterwards, they pick us up and it’s complicated. I can’t blame them, because it’s always benevolent. Sometimes it weighs. And I’m not like that. I know people who love it and puff out their chest. I shut myself up and try to go unnoticed. It’s a matter of character and temperament. I can’t get used to it”, he blurted out as if in disarray. Rather astonishing statements coming from this big, strong-mouthed man who ultimately hides a most sensitive personality…
