In the context of the conflict in Ukraine, the announcement of a possible evacuation of civilians from Mariupol (Ukraine) seems compromised by the non-respect of the ceasefire promised by the Russians. Thursday, March 31st, “one hears almost incessant bombardments in Mariupol, despite the cease-fire which had been announced. The locals told us that it calmed down a bit in the early morning, but then it picked up again.“, explains the special envoy of France Télévisions to Mariupol Luc Lacroix.
Luc Lacroix is in the courtyard of a building in Mariupol. “We see graves that were dug in a hurry. They are inhabitants who lived all around and who died because they could not get first aid. They were old people. Here, the Mariupol cemetery is completely inaccessible“concludes Luc Lacroix.
