Like this series, the ultimate meeting was a thrilling duel until the last minute. In the end, it was the Shawinigan Cataractes who got the better of the Quebec Remparts thanks to a 5 to 3 victory. It was forward Pierrick Dubé who played the heroes with a hat trick in this victory for his team. This is the Cataractes’ first final since the 2015-2016 season.

On the streak that led to the first goal of this game, Pierrick Dubé joined one of his teammates on a two-on-one downhill. Dubé’s pass attempt was in vain, but the puck came back to him, which caught goaltender William Rousseau on the wrong foot. Dubé, who was behind the net, was able to ricochet the disc off Rousseau to open the scoring.
