Canadian retailer Le Château is somehow making a comeback to brick-and-mortar stores.
The clothing brand says its latest collection is now available online and will be sold in 37 Suzy Shier stores across the country later in April. The retailer says the new concept stores will carry apparel from both brands, with Suzy offering more casual, work and weekend wear, while Le Château focuses on evening wear, including dresses, shoes and the accessories.
Le Château filed for creditor protection in 2020, joining the ranks of dozens of major retailers that have buckled under the weight of pandemic-related restrictions. Suzy’s, the company behind women’s clothing brand Suzy Shier, has stepped in to buy Le Château’s intellectual property.
Former Le Château executive Franco Rocchi, now marketing director of the Suzy/Le Château group, pointed out that the brand was born in such stores. “We couldn’t be happier to once again join the community of retailers in shopping centers. [commerciaux] “, he said in a press release.
