Kingsbury were in their fourth campaign with the club, having been on the rise in their first three years. It all culminated in 2021 with a first playoff appearance in six years.
He had also signed a contract extension after this satisfactory season which was to tie him to the team until 2027. But the poor performance of the team in 2022 – only four wins – ultimately cost him his job.
After four seasons – his only four as an NFL pilot – Kingsbury posted a 28-37-1 record.
Keim, meanwhile, had already taken indefinite medical leave in December. This time he chose to leave the organization for the same reasons. This decision comes 10 years plus a day after his hiring as CEO.
