There is no shortage of choice among mid-size luxury SUVs, and candidates offer a whole range of versions, some more focused on comfort, while others are aimed at customers eager for performance.
The Acura MDX at the top
Of all the models in the running, the Acura MDX caught the attention of our team of experts. Completely renewed in 2021, this Japanese SUV has the advantage of offering a lot for a very reasonable bill. Our team appreciates its remarkable road manners as well as its modern presentation despite an unnecessarily complex infotainment system.
This year, the arrival of a Type S version equipped with a 355 horsepower turbo engine will allow this seven-passenger SUV to appeal to drivers looking for adrenaline behind the wheel.

The finalists
In second place are the Audi Q7 and Q8. This Germanic duo impresses with its high quality of finish, its impeccable digital screens and its exciting S versions. Only their rather salty price made them prefer the MDX.

Finally, the Porsche Cayenne takes place on the third step of the podium. Its exemplary road handling and wide range of engines make it a vehicle of choice. That said, the entry-level model is pretty bare-bones, and you have to pay quite a bit to get your hands on a decently-equipped version.
