The Minister of Health Christian Dubé confirmed Friday on the airwaves of 98.5 FM that he will present himself during the ballot on October 3.
He had left a doubt a few weeks earlier at the same microphone.
“I made the decision that I was running for La Prairie in the next election. I thought about it for a long time indeed because I know the height of the mountain of what we have to do, ”he said.
He also added that the last two years of the pandemic have been difficult and that they have had an impact on his personal life. Before starting, he wanted to discuss it with his family, from whom he finally received support.
The Minister also indicates that the positive reception received regarding the vast reform of the system that he proposed last March also motivated him to run again. “I had a lot of support in the last few weeks and it weighs in my decision, I owe it to Quebecers to put it in place,” he says, referring to the plan.
