“Gare de Lyon Part-Dieu, two minutes stop”. From September 8 to October 28, it will not be Simone, the emblematic voice of the SNCF for more than forty years that you will hear in the stations, but the rugby player Antoine Dupont.

On the occasion of the Rugby World Cup, which will take place in France in the fall, the 26-year-old player will lend his voice to sound announcements in stations. He went Friday, June 23 to the operational center of the SNCF in Montparnasse, in Paris, to record his messages. It will not only be his voice that will be used, since his silhouette will illustrate the motors of the TGV.

A side “tongue-in-cheek”

The captain of the France team, best player in the world in 2021 has been the ambassador of the railway company since March 2022. The SNCF is for its part one of the partners of the rugby world championship. Laurent Guillemette, director of major events projects at the SNCF explains for his part “that Antoine Dupont has a voice that is easily recognizable, that he has an interesting tongue-in-cheek side”.
