The Montreal Canadiens announced the news Tuesday morning.

Poehling was injured in the second period of the Habs’ eventual 4-3 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night at the Wells Fargo Center. He was hit hard by defenseman Justin Braun along the ramp.

In 45 games this season, Poehling has five goals and seven assists. He has nine goals and eight assists in 73 career NHL games.

Poehling, 23, was selected by the Canadiens in the first round, 25and in total, in the 2017 NHL Draft.

In addition, forwards Jonathan Drouin and Christian Dvorak have still not received the green light to return to play even though they took part in the Canadiens’ morning training without restriction on Tuesday.

Drouin has missed the Canadiens’ last 20 games with a wrist injury. He has six goals and 14 assists in 32 games this season.

For his part, Dvorak has not participated in the last 18 meetings of the Habs due to an upper body injury. He has seven goals and nine assists in 34 games this season.
