(Brossard) Forward Rem Pitlick has been assigned to the Laval Rocket, the Montreal Canadiens announced Friday morning.
Pitlick, 25, was recalled by the Habs earlier this week following the announcement that Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin was out for four to six weeks with a back injury. upper body suffered November 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Ontarian did not take part in Thursday night’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, which ended 6-4 in favor of the Ohio club.
Pitlick has three assists in three games with the Rocket this season. He had not been claimed after being placed on waivers by CH on November 7.
He has also taken part in seven games with the Bleu-blanc-rouge this season, having been eliminated from the score sheet so far.
Pitlick will lend a hand to the Rocket, who will play their next two games against the Cleveland Monsters.
