It is indicated that this hearing will take place on Monday. As it is not specified that it will be in person, his suspension cannot exceed five games, if suspended.

In the final minutes of the Canadiens’ 8-4 loss to the Washington Capitals, Pezzetta served a check to the head of forward T. J. Oshie. On the spot, the officials assessed him a minor penalty for an illegal blow to the head.

Oshie was unharmed. He remained on the ice for the start of the subsequent power play and scored the eighth and final goal for his team on this presence.

Pezzetta is in his first season in the NHL. He has never been suspended or fined there.

In 47 games, the long-haired Ontarian has eight points, including five goals.
