(Raleigh) Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans will be able to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night, two days after falling heavily against the ramp.

Evans had not finished the game on Tuesday, after which the Canadian lost 7-4 to the Florida Panthers. He needed help leaving the rink after falling on a breakaway and hitting the boards.
Interim head coach Martin St-Louis said Evans was feeling good. Evans took part in the Habs’ morning practice on Thursday, having skipped his turn the night before.
In 58 games this season, Evans has nine goals and 12 assists.
Forward Mathieu Perreault will be sidelined, while Tyler Pitlick will also return after missing two games with an upper body injury.
Pitlick has been limited to two assists in 27 games since the start of the campaign.
The Canadian (18-38-11) has won only one of its last five games (1-2-2). Jake Allen will defend the Habs cage.
For their part, the Hurricanes (44-15-8) have collected at least one point in their last five outings (3-0-2).
Head coach Rod Brind’Amour has announced that forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi will be sidelined for at least two weeks with a lower body injury.
Kotkaniemi, 21, fell in action after taking a hard hit from Lars Eller in the final moments of the Hurricanes’ 6-1 win over the Washington Capitals on Monday.
