Contrary to what was planned, Jake Allen will not be able to face the Seattle Kraken this Monday evening in Montreal.
The goalkeeper suffered an “upper body” injury, the Habs said late in the afternoon. His condition will be reassessed daily.
Samuel Montembeault will take over against the Kraken, while Cayden Primeau has been called up urgently. With the Laval Rocket of the AHL, Primeau is 4-6-3 this season with a 3.65 goals-against-average and .890 save percentage.
