The Canadian awarded a three-year entry-level contract to defender Adam Engström on Friday.
Aged 20, Engström was selected in the third round (92e in total) by the Canadian during the 2022 draft.
The 6′ 2”, 193 lb defenseman scored four goals and collected 18 assists in 51 games this season with Rögle BK from Ängelholm, in the Swedish Hockey League.
Engström also represented Sweden at the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship, where he recorded one goal and two assists in seven games.
