The Canadian Football League has reached an agreement to sell the Montreal Alouettes, according to a source.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the CFL has yet to announce the sale, but the league is expected to do so Friday at a press conference in Montreal.
This decision would come after the CFL had entered into exclusive negotiations with the Quebecor company regarding the ownership of the team.
It is not known who of Quebecor or Pierre Karl Péladeau, the president and CEO of the company, would be the owner of the Montreal team.
