Half an hour before his teammates hit the rink, Joel Edmundson skated for about 20 minutes with an athletic therapist. Injured in the back, the defender has still not played this season. No return to play date has yet been established, but his return to the skates can certainly be seen as good news.

As in the past few days, Jonathan Drouin also skated alone.

Mathieu Perreault and Ben Chiarot, for their part, take part in regular training. The first, who is nursing a “lower body” injury, is dressed in a sweater that excludes him from all contact. As for the second, also injured in the “lower body”, he missed his club’s last match and is expected to be absent from the game for a week. Even though he is training, he is not ready to play.

Christian Dvorak is in the same situation. He has been training regularly for several days, but still does not have the green light from the doctors to participate in a match.

Goaltender Andrew Hammond is also participating in his first training with his new team, he who was acquired on Saturday from the Minnesota Wild.

The Canadiens also provided an update on the state of health of Carey Price. He will not skate for the week in order to train in the gymnasium, as provided for in his rehabilitation plan, the team said. He was last seen on the ice last Wednesday.
