The Canadian | Dach absent against the Flyers, Armia doubtful

(Philadelphia) News from the Canadiens’ infirmary: Joel Edmundson is progressing, Joel Armia is stagnant and Kirby Dach will not return to play immediately.

Dach, sidelined since February 16, will not join his teammates in Philadelphia. Doctors have determined that the symptoms of his illness – which is not COVID – are related to “a lower body injury”. No return to training date has been set.

Joel Armia is with the team in Pennsylvania, but did not attend Thursday’s practice. His attendance for Friday’s game remains uncertain. The Finnish striker left Tuesday’s game after the first period. According to the Canadian, “he did not feel well”.

Joel Edmundson? His fitness process “is progressing”, indicates the Habs in his latest medical report. A further update will be provided in the coming days.

Kaiden Guhle has been training with a blue jersey, meaning he’s not ready to take hits yet. Chris Wideman, injured in the upper body, is now the subject of a weekly evaluation. Note that the Canadian has not given any fresh news on the state of health of Arber Xhekaj and Sean Monahan.
