She succeeds Paul Wilson, who was dismissed a few weeks ago at the same time as the general manager Marc Bergevin. Note, however, that, according to the press release published on Wednesday morning, Mr.me Machabée is named VP of the Canadian, and not of the CH Group, as Mr. Wilson was. She will report to France-Margaret Bélanger, President, Sports and Entertainment at Groupe CH.

Chantal Machabée has spent the past 32 years working for RDS, as a reporter and host. Until Wednesday, she was assigned to daily coverage of the Canadiens’ activities at home and on the road.
