(Washington, DC) Fans of the St. Louis Blues should tune in to Saturday afternoon’s duel between the Canadiens and the Capitals.
The meeting will indeed pit two former goalkeepers from the Missouri team. Jake Allen will defend the Habs net, and he will face Charlie Lindgren. However, it was impossible to collect pre-match comments from the two masked men about the more or less historic nature of this duel.
The meeting will also mark the return to the formation of Chris Wideman, precisely native of St. Louis and former member of the Bandits, in the USHL. Wideman will replace Kaiden Guhle, who suffered a left leg injury Thursday in Florida. Martin St-Louis (definitely, this name is the theme of this Saturday) had no fresh news about the first-year defenseman.
Up front, Michael Pezzetta will be reinstated at the expense of Evgenii Dadonov.
At the Capitals, defender Martin Fehervary will return to the game, and will take the place of Alexander Alexeyev.
The game will start at 4 p.m. Montreal time and 3 p.m. St. Louis time.
