The European elections which will be held on June 9 are giving rise to an increasingly tough campaign. Sunday May 12, the head of the Socialist list, Raphaël Glucksmann, deplored not participating in the planned debate between Jordan Bardella and Gabriel Attal.
Four weeks before the vote, the campaign for the European elections is accelerating. Sunday May 12 in the morning, Raphaël Glucksmann (Place publique – PS) confirmed, if necessary, the end of Nupes. Contesting the pension reform, he does not want a departure at 60 as the program of the left coalition proposed. “A new Macron is served at the PS“, commented the rebellious leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
The Renaissance list in difficulty
The PS candidate also regretted not being able to participate in the debate organized on May 23 between Jordan Bardella (RN) and Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. “Do you find it normal that our list, which is close, according to all polls, with Valérie Hayer’s list of Macronists, is excluded from this debate?“, he asked. The majority candidate is banking on pro-European rhetoric, but is struggling to get her campaign going. The RN remains widely favorite, while the Insoumis, for their part, have experienced a rather positive dynamic since the end of April.
