Two years after its compulsory liquidation and its acquisition by the Celio group, the brand returns on Thursday August 29 with a new name: Be Camaïeu.
Grand opening in Lille (North) on the morning of Thursday, August 29 for the rebirth of the legendary Camaïeu brand, bought by the men’s brand Celio. At Be Camaïeu, the new name of the ready-to-wear brand for women, women’s collections rub shoulders with those of the men. “When I come with my husband, he will have his side, I will have my side”enthuses a customer.
Others boast a range of prices “quite reasonable”. Indeed, the average selling price is 30 euros. Former customers who were fans of the brand also expressed their pleasure at the reopening, with affordable clothing, mainly made in Asia. Created in 1984 in the North, the brand was liquidated in 2022 and 2,600 employees found themselves unemployed. Around a hundred people were recruited for the reopening of 12 stores.
