“We are here at the entrance to the Crimean Bridge. Traffic has been restored for cars. But as you can see, there are hours of waiting, because cars are dribbling. There are inspections, and then there is only one of the two lanes of the bridge which is functional”reports Luc Lacroix, correspondent for France Télévisions in Moscow, from the Crimean bridge. “For trucks, we will have to wait. For the moment, they cross thanks to ferries. Rail traffic has also been partly restored”says the journalist.

“Russia wanted to very quickly restore the traffic. First of all it is symbolic, but also because there had been the very beginnings of panic among the inhabitants of Crimea, who had rushed to stock up on food and in fuel”says Luc Lacroix. “At the level of the investigation, not a lot of new official information, but the Russian press says that the driver of the truck was a man in his fifties, who was a delivery man and who took his orders via an internet platform”concludes the journalist.
