Les Vieilles Charrues regained its place as the busiest festival in France, with 346,000 people present in Carhaix.

The Vieilles Charrues festival brought together 346,000 people, France Bleu Breizh Izel reported on Monday July 17. This is a new record. The organizers have taken stock of this special edition, exceptionally over five days, and count 346,000 people who came to Carhaix, including 291,000 paid admissions.

The 31st edition, which ends Monday evening, has therefore regained its place as the leading French festival. In 2022, for the first time, the Breton event was dethroned by Hellfest. Next year, the Vieilles Charrues will take place over four days, from July 11 to 14, 2024, at the same time as the Brest Maritime Festival and just before the Paris Olympic Games.
