The crews of the 130 boats in the Drheam Cup get down to business on Friday 15 July. As an aperitif of the big departure on Sunday towards Trinité-sur-mer in Brittany, the Drheam Trophy prologue is back this year. A regatta of around twenty nautical miles along the coast of northern Cotentin, which the public will be able to follow from the shore.
The show will start with leaving the port, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.. The big boats first, then the smaller ones. The fleet will then regroup in Becquet Bay, east of Cherbourg. This is where the start of this prologue will be given. A departure in two stages: at noon for large boats such as the Ultimes and the Ocean Fifty and at 12:20 p.m. for the smaller ships.
The race should last between one and two hours off the great harbor of Cherbourg. Competitors will notably have to pass a buoy in front of Urville beach. They will sail west to find a buoy to tack in front of Querqueville beach. The finish line will be located in continuity, at Fort Chavagnac.

To best see this Drheam Trophy, we recommend several spots: the port of Le Becquet for the departure ; them Collignon and Querqueville beachesor even along the Saltworks. The Querqueville dike will remain closed to the public for safety reasons. Note that the fastest sailboats will take an hour to complete the course (which does not count for the official race).
