Anne Hidalgo, socialist presidential candidate, is credited with less than 5% of voting intentions in the various polls, two months before the first round. “The background has not been processed at this time” in this campaign, deciphers Jean-Luc Gleyze, socialist president of the Gironde Departmental Council. He pursues : “We are in a lot of hype and media fury, but I think we have to get to the bottom. It is the choice that Anne Hidalgo has made today to treat her project rather”.
Despite the difficulties of this campaign, the absence of unity on the left and the unfavorable polls, “we must continue”, believes Jean-Luc Gleyze. Especially since with “the skimming of the 500 applications, because perhaps not everyone will succeed and the balance of power will change over time”, he says. According to the latest figures revealed by the Constitutional Council, Anne Hidalgo has already exceeded the 500 sponsorships necessary to validate her candidacy, which is not the case, on the left, of Philippe Poutou, Christiane Taubira, Yannick Jadot or Jean-Luc Mélenchon .
