The boss of the SQDC takes the head of the SAQ

(Quebec) The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) has a new boss: Jacques Farcy, CEO of the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) since 2021, succeeds Catherine Dagenais who announced her retirement last November.

The Legault government’s cabinet made his appointment on Wednesday, based on a recommendation from the SAQ’s board of directors, as required by procedure.

Jacques Farcy is thus returning to the SAQ, where he was vice-president of marketing and then sales network operations from 2015 to 2021. He will take office on June 26.
