Nicolas Daguin is a news journalist at Le Figaro. He follows the investigation for the daily. He was the guest of 19/20 info to provide an update on the discovery of the bones of little Émile.
Since the discovery of the little boy’s bones on Saturday March 30, “this is a new investigation”, explains Nicolas Daguin, news journalist at Figaro. An investigation “almost more valuable than the first because until now the investigations had remained in vain even if the investigation was not stopped”he adds.
“With this unknown twist, the opportunity appears to find out what happened to little Émile”, he continues. He himself does not have access to the investigation area, but nearly a hundred gendarmes have been mobilized in Haut-Vernet (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence). “They are present to protect the investigations in progress, in particular from the press which could pollute the investigations”specifies the journalist.
A new investigation
“If the bones had been there for several months, or even since Émile’s disappearance, the theory of an accident could be considered again. On the other hand, if we realize that the bones were deposited in the area a few days, a few weeks ago then, necessarily, the body was moved and there was then intervention by a third party, whether a human being or an animal”says Nicolas Daguin.
The journalist finally notes that this appearance comes at a time “who calls out”. In fact, the bones were found “two days after a situation where the investigation was stalling and at the symbolic time of Easter for this very religious family.”
