The bond of trust with the CAQ is broken

In the latest poll, the CAQ is in free fall. There are several reasons for this descent into hell, whether it is the broken electoral promise of a third link in the Quebec region, the bypassing of the BAPE for the arrival of Northvolt in Montérégie or the shelving of the tramway project for Quebec City. There is a limit to trusting a government that does not work for the people it represents. But in my mind, the biggest blunder is having given $7 million for the arrival of a hockey team at the Videotron center. With a budget deficit of 11 billion, Minister Girard should be in his little shoes in the face of this lack of rigor. When journalists talk to him about the grant event, he trivializes the cost and implies that people have moved on. Well, I’m still in shock about this donation to a team of extremely wealthy hockey players while there are more and more people pulling the devil by the tail. I am of the opinion that all the opposition parties in the National Assembly should jointly organize a demonstration on Place Jean-Béliveau on October 3. And, yes, the Kings will be at the Videotron center on this date. We must shout loud and clear that the people’s money should serve the interests of the people and not the ultra-rich. While sipping their whisky, the Girards, Fitzgibbons and Legaults of this world should listen to the very beautiful song Poor people, by Plume Latraverse.
