In Italy, relief is still looking, Thursday, May 18, for the missing following the terrible floods which hit the Bologna region. There are at least nine dead and the damage is considerable.
The historic center of Lugo, in northern Italy, is still under water. We can no longer distinguish the wheels of the cars. A resident struggles to return home, with water up to his knees. Barefoot, or on the backs of rescuers, residents continued to be evacuated overnight from Wednesday May 17 to Thursday May 18. The torrential rains killed at least nine people, 13,000 people were evacuated in the Bologna region.
27,000 people without electricity
It fell nearly six months of precipitation in 36 hours, causing spectacular landslides in places. In the streets of the city of Cesena, cars are carried by the violence of the torrent.
